Bachtyar Ali has lived in Germany since the mid-nineties. In 2017, he was awarded the Nelly Sachs Prize. At the Kurdish Film Festival this year, he will read an excerpt from his book “The Dictator’s Smile”. The reading with a champagne reception will take place on Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. at Sprachenatelier Berlin.

Bachtyar Ali lebt seit Mitte der Neunziger Jahre in Deutschland. 2017 wurde er mit dem Nelly-Sachs-Preis ausgezeichnet. Beim Kurdischen Film Festival wird er dieses Jahr einen Ausschnitt aus seinem Buch “Das Lächeln des Diktators” vorlesen. Die Lesung mit Sektempfang findet am 12.10. um 17:00 Uhr im Sprachenatelier Berlin statt.
